GW PARTS GROUP, INC. Counter Salespeople are the backbone of our business, delivering excellent customer service and expertise to our long-standing customers. Our knowledge is the reason our customers continue to return, and we rely on our Counter Sales team to exemplify our commitment to quality and service.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Provide exceptional customer service to all store customers.
• Assist both retail and wholesale customers with their auto parts questions and needs, either in person, via telephone, or through online ordering.
• Handle cash, credit card, and other purchasing transactions.
• Ensure all invoices are submitted daily or provide an explanation if they are not.
• Collect payment for cash sales transactions (Cash or Credit Card). Customers must sign or print their name on the credit card slip.
• Responsible for the petty cash assigned to you, which must be accounted for daily.
• Charge account customers must sign and print their name on all copies of invoices.
• Operate the store's point of sale system (TAMS) to search for parts, customer accounts, and to invoice and pull orders.
• Pull and prepare inventory orders for customer pickup or delivery.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Operate the electronic and paper cataloging systems to retrieve up-to-date parts information.
• Effectively communicate features, benefits, and warranty policy information to customers.
• Demonstrate a positive, helpful attitude, as well as professional conduct and appearance at all times. Refrain from using foul or vulgar language, especially in the presence of customers, employees, or at the front counter.
• Assist with inside and outside store maintenance (e.g., empty trash, sweep or mop floors, stock shelves, clean and straighten shelves, and perform any other tasks as requested by management that are legal, ethical, and moral).
• Assist with deliveries if needed.
